Vishmi was joined by Harshita Madavi and they both continued adding runs to the scoreboard.

Vaishnav came to UAE’s aid again in the 16th over and got Harshita back to the pavilion after the batter scored 27 runs on 24 balls.

Vaishnav tactics were backed by Esha Oza who got two back-to-back wickets in an over.

Oza stumped Vishmi and then got Hasini Perera on the fifth ball of her over.

Sri Lanka finished at 149/6 and then started to bowl against UAE’s batters.

UAE’s skipper Oza started the innings with a smash and finished the power-play by scoring 25 runs off 18 balls.

Khushi Sharma joined her and they both struck Lankan bowlers but Khushi was sent back to the pavilion in the 10th over by Sugandika Kumari.

Oza continued her innings and completed her fast fifty off just 34 balls.

Athapaththu and Prabodhani struck and sent back Kavisha Egodage and Oza respectively. Oza completed her innings at 66 runs on just 44 balls.

The back-to-back dismissals put the UAE batting frenzy to a stop and Sri Lanka managed to win by 15 runs and found a spot in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024  in Bangladesh in October.

The team however will first play against Scotland on Tuesday, May 7th in the final game of the tournament despite both of the teams qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2024.
