Sri Lanka Cricket Team is off to the USA for the T20 World Cup 2024
The Sri Lanka Cricket Team has left for the USA for the T20 World Cup 2024.
The World Cup is starting from June 1st in the USA and the West Indies.
Captained by Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan team is the first side to leave for the tournament.
Mahesh Theekshana is not with the team as he is currently occupied with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2024.

The traveling team has taken three new players named Dunith Wellalage, Kamindu Mendis, and Nuwan Thushara.
As for seasoned and experienced players, the team has players such as Angelo Mathews, Dhananjaya de Silva, and Dasun Shanaka to represent the country at the tournament.
Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of Sri Lanka Cricket has given best wishes to the Sri Lankan players for the mega event.
The Sri Lankan team is grouped with Bangladesh, Nepal, Netherlands, and South Africa in the Group D of the T20 World Cup. Their first match is scheduled for June 3rd in New York against South Africa.
