LPL 2024: Shadab Khan Joins Colombo Strikers

Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shadab Khan is set to join the Colombo Strikers for the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL 2024) season. The tournament kicks off on July 1st in Pallekele, Sri Lanka.

Shadab, who previously held the vice-captaincy for Pakistan’s T20I team, will be available for the Strikers after the T20 World Cup 2024 concludes. The World Cup takes place in the United States and West Indies, starting June 1st.

The Strikers welcomed, Shadab on their X account saying that they could not wait for him to join the team.

The LPL 2024 auctions are scheduled for May 21st where 420 players will be on display for the franchises to pick from.

The SLC has confirmed that of the 420 players, there are both Lankans and overseas players and that the auction will take place on May 21st Tuesday in Colombo.

The 154 players are going to be Sri Lankans whereas the rest of them are foreign players. That is a huge number of foreign players wanting to participate in the league.

These players are from 24 cricketing nations. All vying to play in the LPL starting from July 1st, 2024.
