PCB proposes three venues for Champions Trophy 2025
the Pakistan Cricket Board has proposed three venues for the Champions Trophy 2025 but India’s participation still seems unlikely due to their government’s unwillingness to let the team travel to Pakistan.
Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore are the three venues sent to the International Cricket Council in the initial venue drafts of the Champions Trophy 2025 by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Pakistan is set to host the tournament in 2025 being their first major ICC event since 1996, almost after 30 years.

The expected hosts are the defending champions of what everyone thought to be the last edition of the tournament in 2017 but ICC renewed the tournament in its new rights cycle (2022-2023) and gave the hosting rights to the defending champions.
However, The BCCI has expressed unwillingness to travel to Pakistan due to the political strain between the two countries. Stating that their government wouldn’t allow them and give them clearance to travel to Pakistan.
This will likely be in discussion at the annual conference of ICC in July.
The Indian Cricket Team has not traveled to Pakistan since the Asia Cup of 2008. Last year’s Asia Cup was supposed to be completely held in Pakistan but due to the same issues caused by India, the hosts had to develop a two-host solution with India’s matches being held in Sri Lanka, and that included the final of the cup.
