The second nominee is UAE’s Muhammad Waseem. He outshone at the ACC Premier Cup where he scored the third T20i century of his career.
The UAE played with Kuwait and in the first match he got out on a duck but he made a comeback as he scored consecutive smashing innings of 65, 45, and 48 runs.
The third nominee for the award is Pakistan’s star pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi.
He is in promising form as he was the leading wicket-taker for his team in the T20i series against New Zealand where the teams played five T20Is.
In the second T20i of the series, he managed to grab 3 wickets for 13 runs and helped his team restrict New Zealand to just 90 runs. Pakistan won that match easily and Afridi was awarded the Player of the Match award.
In the last game of the series, Afridi clinched 4 wickets for 30 runs in his four-over spell and got himself another Player of the Match award.
He was also given the Player of the series award for his amazing efforts in the entirety of the series.
All of the nominees have given award-worthy performances. The players will be voted for and the winner will be announced soon through ICC’s platforms.
