MLC 2024: Shakib Al Hasan Joins Los Angeles Knight Riders
Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan has been signed in the Major League Cricket (MLC 2024) by Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) for the league’s second season.
The Knight Riders group is happy to have Shakib in their MLC franchise saying that Shakib has been a part of the Knight Riders for a long time, having represented KKR in various phases including two championship seasons in 2012 and 2014. They added that they can’t wait to see him turn up in Purple and Gold for LA Knight Riders this July.
LAKR is owned by the same group that owns Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR, men and women both) in the Caribbean Premiere League (CPL). The group has a franchise in the ILT20 in the UAE called Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR). The LAKR finished at the bottom of the points table in the first edition of the MLC in 2023.
