Knicks’ OG Anunoby Sidelined for Game 3 with Hamstring Issue
The New York Knicks will match the Indiana Pacers in the 3rd game without having OG Anunoby, who is out due to the strain of his left hamstring. OG Anunoby was injured in the Knicks’ overtime win over the Pacers in Game 2. He had to leave without completing the game
An unforeseen accident occurred in the second half of Game 2 when he was driving to the basket. He tried to go for a layup. Rather abruptly, he stopped under the backboard which indicated some discomfort, sprung up, and with an evident limp, he reached the sideline where he could no longer participate in the game. Regardless of OG Anunoby’s premature departure from the team, of course, he had made a strong impact on the Knicks’ offense and posted 28 points on the board already.
Not happening.
Hell no.
We’re 26-5 throughout 31 games alongside O.G. Anunoby with a winning percentage of .838% which is on pace for 68.7 Wins throughout an entire season; and he’s already the greatest All-Around Defender I’ve ever witnessed within Knicks Franchise History.… https://t.co/vbI1GuIFxU pic.twitter.com/8SOgRqfqBz

The depth of the hamstring injury of OG Anunoby is unknown, making the question of his future participation unanswerable. Anunoby’s injury has been confirmed and with only 48 hours left before some other crucial game, the outcome of this unforeseen turn of events is very much uncertain.
But tonight they’ll be home and they won’t have to deal with O.G. Anunoby, who is out with a hamstring strain: https://t.co/JUN4Kbqef6

Moving on, the deadline for star guard Jalen Brunson to be listed as questionable for Game 3 is due to a right foot injury. Through the limited presence of Brunson in the first quarter where he had to exit the field for some time, he returned in the second half and became a great performer for the Knicks scoring 29 points for that particular match.
Even without OG Anunoby and Brunson’s shoestrings, though not certain, the Knicks have a 6:10 lead over the Pacers. Striving to reach the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2000, the Knicks will have a lot to overcome in terms of injuries and they will need to continue their postseason success against the Pacers in the third match.
