Jos Buttler to miss PAK vs ENG series ahead of T20 World Cup 2024

England’s T20 captain, Jos Buttler, may miss portions of the upcoming four-match T20I series against Pakistan which kicks off on May 22nd in Leeds.

A report from inews.co.uk suggests England’s T20 captain, Jos Buttler, could depart the series against Pakistan early due to the imminent arrival of his third child. His wife, Louise, is expecting to give birth in the coming days.

Jos Buttler recently left the Indian Premier League early to join the England squad for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. This series serves as preparation for the T20 World Cup later this year.

England’s head coach, Matthew Mott, is currently away from the team due to a family matter. Assistant coach Richard Dawson filled in and led Monday’s practice session in Leeds. Mott is expected to be back with the team by Tuesday.

Rain looms over the series opener. The forecast for Wednesday evening in Yorkshire predicts heavy rain, raising the possibility of a washout.
