Jake Fraser McGurk levels his own fastest fifty record in IPL 2024

Jake Fraser McGurk, opener of DC, smashed a fifty on fifteen balls today in a match against Mumbai Indians in the group stage of IPL.

Apart from Fraser-McGurk’s fastest fifty of this season, only Sunil Narine and Andre Russel hold the record of fifty in fifteen or fewer balls in T20 cricket.

Not only this, Fraser-McGurk now holds the record of hitting most runs in the first over of a match in IPL as he struck 19 runs to the MI pacer Luke Wood.

His aggressive hitting included three fours and a six with a single run on the last ball of the over.

He’s not the only batsman in IPL to do so but he is joined by six other players of the league who hold this record.

Fraser-McGurk has been having an amazing debut season of IPL as he has scored 247 runs in just five innings.

His first match was against Lucknow Super Giants and he scored his first fifty (55 on just 35 balls) against them.

He has played two games against Gujrat Titans and in both of them, he made the lowest scores. In the first, he scored a 20 on 10 and then in the second, he scored a 23 on 14.

His second fifty came In against Sunrisers Hyderabad in which he added a brutal and fast 65 on just 18 balls to the scorecard.

The opener who is from Australia scored his latest and highest in a match against Mumbai Indians. An aggressive and smashing innings of 84 runs in only 27 balls.
