“It is amazing to see the progress of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium over the past few weeks with all stands very close to completion and the outfield laid. To see the outfield now completed shows the transformation from a stadium to a world-class cricket facility, with the pitch block installation taking place shortly,” ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said as quoted by the ICC.
The historic World Cup is only 39 days away. This is the first time an ICC event will be held in the United States and the second time the West Indies will host a T20 World Cup. The last was held in 2010 and was won by England.
England will again defend the title which they won in 2022 by beating Pakistan in the final.
