Heartbreaking News: NBA Star Drew Gordon Killed in Car Crash
Drew Gordon, who is the brother to Denver Nuggets player Aaron Gordon, died in a car accident in Portland, Oregon. Andrews, an agent of the player, Calvin Andrews, came to confirm the news to ESPN late Thursday. All the members of the family were still young; Drew was 33 years old.
Drew Gordon was a basketball player who initially played for the University of California, Los Angeles’ team, the UCLA Bruins. Some of the great programs showing their interest in him were; Duke, North Carolina, and Arizona programs. The next year he moved to New Mexico after two successful seasons with the Bruins to complete his junior year. While playing in New Mexico, Gordon achieved at least 13 points and 10 rebounds per game in both seasons there and this led to NBA scouts taking an interest in him.

Gordon had lit up his college performance, but he was not selected in the 2012 draft. He joined the Dallas Mavericks team in the Summer League and later joined the Philadelphia 76ers team. During the season 2014/15, Gordon took part in nine games for the 76ers but in December he was waived.
After leaving the NBA, Gordon continued with his professional basketball career for nearly a decade overseas. He has played in various leagues in foreign countries and the G League. It is pivotal to underline the achievement of being an All-Star in France in 2015. Gordon has played professional basketball till the year 2023.
