Former USC Guard Bronny James Impresses at 2024 NBA Draft Combine

Bronny James impresses at the NBA Draft Combine with his amazing athleticism and accurate shooting skills. Is he prepared for the NBA?

Despite questions about his future in the draft, Bronny James, the ex-USC Trojans player, is grabbing attention at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. The 19-year-old Ohio native, who stands at 6’4, is the offspring of NBA superstar LeBron James.

James displayed his athletic skills by achieving an impressive 40.5-inch vertical jump, putting him in fourth place among those participating in this year’s combine. This show emphasizes his potential, despite having a limited college history.

Scouts and analysts were also impressed by James’s shooting skills. While practicing shooting three-pointers, he skillfully made 12 shots in a row and ended up with a total of 19 out of 25. His shooting performance was notable considering his difficulties shooting three-pointers while playing at USC, where he only made 26.7 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.

While playing for the Trojans, James made modest contributions, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. The obstacles James encountered in his college career were emphasized by USC’s underwhelming season, culminating in a 15-18 record and no participation in postseason games.

Although James has not performed well in the past, his recent performances at the combine indicate that he has untapped potential as he moves to the professional level. Undoubtedly, his exceptional showing at the combine has provided USC supporters and basketball fans with a reason to anticipate his future NBA career with excitement.
