England Cricket announces squad for T20 World Cup

The selection committee of the England cricket team has announced a 15-player squad on April 30th for the T20 World Cup 2024, and the same squad will play against when Pakistan will tour England in May.

The England cricket team is the defending champions as they won the tournament two years prior in 2022.

The team led by Jos Butler has included Jofra Archer who last played an international match almost a year ago due to an elbow injury that occurred in March 2023.

Similarly, Chris Jordan has been absent from the team since September 2023 and has been included in the squad.

The team has experienced players who have represented England for years and in various ICC events including Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, and Jonathan ‘Jonny’ Bairstow.

The ICC has given May 1st as the final date for the boards to announce their final squad, allowing them to make changes until May 25th only.

The English men are expected to fly to the Caribbean on May 31st as their first match is scheduled on June 4th in Barbados against Scotland.
