Eisenhower Park is fully prepared to host T20 World Cup 2024 matches

The much-awaited grand cricket stadium, Eisenhower Park in New York is ready to host T20 World Cup matches in June 2024.

The stadium had to be erected in five months. The stadium has drop-in pitches which were transported from Australia to Florida and from Florida to New York by land. As for the drop-in pitches in the stadium, ten were placed in the main square while six were placed in training facilities.

The mastermind of the pitches is Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions’ head Damian Hough who has been extremely proud and excited about the pitches.

The capacity of the stadium has been estimated to a 34,000 seats that will readily greet cricket lovers from all over the world to sit and enjoy the greatest teams playing against each other in the mega event.

The stadium will be tested with test events and matches before the World Cup begins on June 1st. There are going to be 16 matches held in the USA, eight of which will be hosted in New York with Dallas and Texas hosting four each.

The Eisenhower Park will host its first match on June 3rd and it will be South Africa vs Sri Lanka.

According to ESPNcricinfo, the 34,000-seat stadium will host a warm-up game between India and Bangladesh on June 1st.

Chris Tetley, ICC’s head of events said on Tuesday that they have turned what was parkland and an informal cricket ground into what you’ll agree looks like a world-class cricket stadium that you might find anywhere.

Tetley also confirmed that the newly developed and constructed stadium will host matches at the end of May before the World Cup begins in June.
