DP World Lions have won the CSA T20 Challenge

DP World Lions have won the CSA T20 Challenge. Challenge tournament in their home ground DP World Wanderers Stadium on April 28th.

The Lions, captained by Bjorn Fortuin, had restricted the Dolphins, captained by Prenelan Subrayen, to 165-8 only.

With Khaya Zondo and J Smith being the only batters scoring remarkable runs. They scored 37 and 51 runs respectively.

The Lions’ Codi Yusuf and Bjorn Fortuin took two wickets each. Nqaba Peter, Evan Jones, and Lutho Simapla took one wicket each.

The Lions were only in need of 166 runs in 20 overs and they comfortably chased it at the loss of three wickets only.

Their star batsman turned out to be Reeza Hendricks who played a fast and brutal innings of 73 runs on 52 balls striking 4 fours and 3 sixes.

He was helped by Wian Mulder who also scored a fast innings of 55 runs on just 26 balls.

Dolphins’ Okuhle Cele, Andile Phehlukwayo, and Daryn Dupavillon took one wicket each.
