Donovan Mitchell Propels Cavaliers Past Magic in Game 7

Donovan Mitchell was an essential factor in the Cavaliers’ right to take part in the most exciting yet important game under the banner of the 2018 NBA playoffs at the end of Game 7, which they won over the Orlando Magic.

With 18 points behind they headed onto the floor in the first half trying to avoid the same confrontation as in the past year. On the flip side, though, Donovan Mitchell managed to shoot loads of 39 points, so the game tipped on Cleveland’s side.

Caris LeVert was also useful for the Cavaliers adding 15 points to the team output, which backed up the main man, Donovan Mitchell from the guard position.

The Cavaliers’ comeback immediately captured the City of Great Lakes’ imagination, which turned out to be one of the biggest comebacks in Game 7 of the NBA finals since the last time the play-by-play stats started being recorded in the 1997-98 season.

Evan Mobley’s control in the paint, dominating a total of 16 rebounds, and Darius Garland’s dreaded 3-pointer, enabled the Cavaliers to gain the edge in the matter, making last plays and sending them through to the next round of the playoffs.

Cavaliers, without LeBron James for the first time, also made it to the playoffs in 1993 and then won their first playoff series since then, which signifies the enormous progress of the organization.

The Hawks’ next opponents will be the Boston Celtics, the highest-seeded team, as the series will commence with Game 1 on Tuesday. Against all odds, Cleveland was able to dominate the victorious Boston squad during the regular season. However, as Donovan Mitchell and his teammates prepare to face the challenge ahead, they are determined and believe in their ability to win big.

The field ground turned into a resounding cry reading “We want Boston!” as the momentous pang of the last buzzer dominated the air.

The Rookie of the Year finalists from Orlando – Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs – had very poor shooting efforts, failing to make more than 17.8 percent of their shots from the field. But their effort was not in vain because they tied with the defending champion Cavaliers.

After the game, Donovan Mitchell underlined the necessity of keeping calm and breaking through all the obstacles in the playoff, for he was amazed at his teammates’ unity and resiliency. While Cleveland’s high ice performance was acknowledged by Orlando’s Paolo Banchero, the latter confidently pointed out their future potential.

The Cavaliers, behind their leader Donovan Mitchell, walk away with the win after a dramatic Game 7 face-off with the Magic. With determination, resilience, and collective efforts, they make it to the second round of the NBA playoff. They face the Boston Celtics for the next challenge as soon as they have a chance to take their breath away.
