Former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham has declined an opportunity to join Mike Budenholzer’s coaching staff with the Phoenix Suns. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Budenholzer attempted to recruit Ham after being hired as the Suns’ head coach last month. Throughout the 2023-24 season, Ham faced criticism for his decision-making and difficulties in motivating a veteran roster headlined by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. These struggles culminated in his firing a month ago, with the Lakers still searching for his replacement.
