As first revealed by The Daily Telegraph,  Agar has not recovered from the injury that ruled him out if the recent T20 series against South Africa.

The West Australian, who was included in Australia’s provisional World Cup squad earlier this month, has returned to his home after one match against the Proteas in order to witness the birth of his first child. Consequently, he was unable to participate in the ongoing ODI series against India this week

.
However, it is anticipated that the left-arm spinner will not be included in the Australian white-ball team for the tour in India. Instead, Tanveer Sangha is likely to be considered as a potential replacement, alongside Marnus Labuschagne and Matthew Short.


Australia is expected to announce its finalized 15-player World Cup squad on Thursday afternoon.


Meanwhile, the national selectors are currently faced with a dilemma concerning the potential inclusion of the injured Travis Head during the preliminary stage of the World Cup.
South Australia, who sustained a fractured hand during the fourth One Day International match against South Africa, is not anticipated to attain full recovery until at least late October.

If the selectors choose to exclude Head from the officially confirmed 15-player squad, he will not be eligible for reinstatement unless there is a documented injury. However, if Head remains in the squad until he recovers, he cannot be replaced by another player.
