Angelo Mathews Set to retire from white-ball cricket: reports

There are reports from Sri Lanka that cricket all-rounder Angelo Mathews might retire from limited-overs cricket, also known as white-ball cricket. This could happen after the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which starts in the United States and the Caribbean on June 2nd.

Some reports suggest that after leaving white-ball cricket, Angelo Mathews might move to Melbourne, Australia. It’s even said he’s already purchased some property there.

This would be a big change, as he’d be leaving his home country of Sri Lanka.

Angelo Mathews reportedly plans to move to Melbourne with his family after the T20 World Cup. This decision might be driven by a desire for a more stable life, considering the recent challenges Sri Lanka has faced.
